AMOSS

AMOSS is a spiritual organization of the Indian Orthodox Church working to give instructions to the altar boys of all parishes in the Indian Orthodox Church to make uniformity in the worship of the church and to serve systematically. It also aims to mould people who have God’s grace and are dedicated to follow a spiritual and sacramental life.

At a Parish level, AMOSS units aim to train attendants to practice the holy church’s tradition and ritual service without any alteration and to perform it timely with all its meaning and value and to ordain and make them members of the church’s serving community.

The first UK-Europe and Africa AMOSS meeting was held on 25th August 2016 at York under the guidance of Diocesan Metropolitan HG Dr. Mathews Mar Thimothios. His grace appointed Fr. Mathew Abraham as the Vice President and Dr Abraham Samuel as the Secretary. The second annual meeting was held on 28th August 2017 at St Mary’s Indian Orthodox Church, Bristol whereby, Mr Wilson George was elected as the Treasurer of AMOSS. Fr. Mathew Abraham stepped down from the post and appointed Fr Eldho Varghese as the Vice-president of AMOSS UK Europe and Africa.
