Diploma in Orthodox Theology Program Outline

EFFORT

The 2-year Diploma in Orthodox Theology (DOT) program is constituted of SIX modules covering various subjects which can be undertaken as a single integrated course of study.

Tentative Program outline for batch commencing September 2025

  1. Scripture in Orthodox Tradition (September 2025 - December 2025)

  2. West Syriac and Biblical Greek – Introductory Course (January 2026 - April 2025)

  3. Understanding the Nicene Creed (May 2026 – August 2026)

  4. Introduction to Patristics (Pre-Chalcedon Christian Teachers) (September 2026 -December 2026)

  5. Sacramental Theology (January 2027 - April 2027)

  6. Orthodox Witness and Mission with Practical Work Assignment (May 2027 – July 2027)

Program outline for batch commenced in September 2024

  1. Scripture in Orthodox Tradition (September 2024 - December 2024)

  2. West Syriac and Biblical Greek – Introductory Course (January 2025 - April 2025)

  3. Understanding the Nicene Creed (May 2025 – August 2025)

  4. Introduction to Patristics (Pre-Chalcedon Christian Teachers) (September 2025 -December 2025)

  5. Sacramental Theology (January 2026 - April 2026)

  6. Orthodox Witness and Mission with Practical Work Assignment (May 2026 – July 2026)

Alternatively, each module may be pursued individually as a Certificate Course, with the option to advance toward a diploma over time.
