The St Thomas’ Indian Orthodox Church, London is a church under the UK, Europe and Africa Diocese of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church of India. An appeal was submitted on 15th October 2006 to the Diocesan Bishop to grant permission for a separate parish for the convenience of all IOC members residing in the North London area and its vicinity. St Thomas’ Indian Orthodox Church, London was declared as a parish by the Diocesan Metropolitan, Late Lamented His Grace Dr Thomas Mar Makarios on the 1st of January 2007 and Rev Fr George Joy (Rev Fr Abraham George Cor-Episcopa) was duly appointed as the Vicar of the church.

The newly built St. Thomas’ Indian Orthodox Church, London was consecrated on Friday 31st, August and Saturday 1st, September 2012. The consecration was led by Diocesan Metropolitan HG Dr. Mathews Mar Thimothios and assisted by the Bishops and priests from the Oriental Orthodox family. Rev. Fr. John Varghese Mannancherry served as Vicar from August 2017 to January 2022 and Rev. Fr. Anoop Abraham has been serving as Vicar since February 2022.
