Parish

Mullingar St. Stephens Indian Orthodox Church

Republic of Ireland, Ireland (ROI and NI)

The Parish in Mullingar, in central Ireland, is the latest to be declared as an independent Parish. In 2013, a few faithful living in and around of the Midlands of the Republic of Ireland commenced a prayer fellowship meeting regularly under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Ninan P Kuriakose. It was only 8 years later in April 2021 that the Congregation was approved and declared as an independent Parish by the Diocesan Metropolitan HG Dr. Mathews Mar Thimothios. The Parish has been dedicated to the blessed memory of the first martyr St. Stephen. Rev. Fr. Ninan P Kuriakose has been appointed as its first Vicar. There are currently twenty families, mostly from the Cavan, Westmeath and Offaly regions registered as members.
