The Parish traces its informal existence to fellowships that have existed in the region since the late 1970s. Under the initiative taken by the Late Lamented Philipose Mar Theophilos of Bombay and Angamaly Diocese, Fr. Korah Varghese was appointed as the priest-in-charge of the community in Germany in 1972, serving faithfully as Vicar for about 3 decades.
